Ohh the woes of teething! Aselin has been teething off and on since she was about three months old and FINALLY on the 15th of January her first tooth surfaced!
For the last 48 hours she has been running a fairly high fever and been really out of sorts (which didn't happen with the first tooth) so I was being a worried Momma and thinking of all the terrible things that it *could* be! *GASP* Low and behold..I look in her mouth, and there is her second little tooth, alllllmost out! I can't believe how fast this second one has come in and how different her symptoms were! Alas, I am just happy that her fever broke and she is currently asleep, hopefully we don't have another night like the night before last night, we won't get into that...let me just say it wasn't fun!
We started Aselin on solids when she turned five months old and she has been loving it so far! She really likes her cereal and it's so much fun watching her enjoy (or not) new tastes! She really hasn't taken a liking to much, only green beans and carrots and makes these ridiculous faces when she doesn't like something...which is almost everything; sweet potato, squash, peas, cooked apple and banana; she does enjoy cold fruit in her nuby though! She loves grapes, apples, pears and cantaloupe! At the moment I am cooking up some mango to puree and we'll give that to her in the morning for something new!! Here is a picture of Aselin eating!!
As you can see, more of the squash ended up ON her than IN her!!
Enjoying some green beans!!
Aselin was suppose to be getting her six month shots today but because she had a fever I had to reschedual them..I honestly can't believe this Health Region...I called yesterday to see when I could get her in next...MARCH 25th!!! Are you KIDDING me?! I actually asked the lady that and she seemed shocked that I was shocked! I could understand like maybe middle of February but into March....sheesh! Aselin will be eight months old!
We are going to be starting sleep training at the beginning of February which I am SO not looking forward too. Aselin is currently co-sleeping which has worked thus far and I really don't *want* to move her, but I also want her to learn that it's OKAY to fall asleep other then in her swing or nursing and that her bed IS for sleeping and not just for playing in. I hope she takes to it fast or February may turn out to be a LONG month.
My little lady has awoken so I shall bid you adeau...I promise I won't take this long to update next time!!!
